THE GENERAL DATA

The five-cylinder engine

1 – a belt of a drive of a camshaft;
2 – a cover of a drive of a camshaft top;

Five-cylinder рядный the engine is established in the car is longitudinal with an inclination to the right. The block of cylinders of the engine – pig-iron безгильзовый. The head of the block of cylinders is cast from an aluminium alloy. In a block head pressed saddles of valves and the directing plugs made of a special brass. In a block head the camshaft which is resulted in rotation by a gear belt from a cranked shaft is located. The same belt puts in action the water pump established on a left-hand side of the block of cylinders.

On the back end of a camshaft the gear wheel of a drive of the distributor of ignition is located. From a camshaft the fuel pump on carburettor engines is put in action also.

The cranked shaft steel shod, rotates on six bearings.
Valves are put in action by a camshaft through pushers. On engines of models KU and NF hydraulic pushers are established.

Pistons are cast from an aluminium alloy with steel inserts, on each piston two are established compression and one scraper rings.

The oil pump is established in a forward part of the block of cylinders and resulted in rotation from a cranked shaft. The oil filter полнопоточный, is established on the right side of the block of cylinders.

On engines of model WH the carburettor, engines of models KP, WС, KU, RT is established, NF are equipped by system of injection of fuel.
