9.6. Steering draught

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To brake the car a lay brake and to establish an emphasis under back wheels. 2. To weaken two bolts of fastening of bent for gear рейке (cм. Fig. the steering Mechanism). Thus the car should stand on wheels in order to avoid damage gear рейки the steering mechanism. 3. To weaken an inhaling of bolts of fastening of a wheel. 4. To raise and establish on a support a forward part of the car. 5. Definitively to turn away bolts of fastening and to remove a wheel. 6. To turn away a nut of fastening of a tip with the spherical hinge. 7. Выпрессовать a finger of the spherical hinge from the rotary lever. It is recommended to do it by a stripper. 8. Definitively to turn away bolts of fastening and to remove draught or with a clamping plate. 9. For replacement of a tip of steering draught to weaken a counternut and to turn away a tip, considering thus number of turns that at assemblage to establish a tip in demanded position.

Survey and Troubleshooting details of steering draught

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Attentively to examine steering draught. The worn out and deformed draughts are not under repair and are subject to obligatory replacement. 2. If mud the cover of the spherical hinge has cracks or rubber has lost elastic properties, a cover to replace. 3. If the spherical hinge has notable radial and axial люфты (it is checked at the established draught on the car) or the tip has люфт, with the spherical hinge it is necessary to replace a tip.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To wrap a tip on carving coupling on the number of turns counted up at removal. 2. At replacement of steering draught to expose length of new draught by means of carving coupling, equal to length of old draught, and to fix counternuts. 3. To establish draught and a new clamping plate on an arm and to wrap fastening bolts, without tightening. 4. Press in a finger of the spherical hinge in the rotary lever and to tighten a new nut the moment 60 Н·м (6,0 кгс·м). 5. To establish a wheel and наживить bolts of its fastening. 6. To lower the car on the earth and to tighten definitively bolts of fastening of a wheel the moment 110 Н·м (11,0 кгс·м). 7. Definitively to tighten bolts of fastening of bent for gear рейке the moment 60 Н·м (6,0 кгс·м). To bend short moustaches of a clamping plate. 8. To check up a convergence of wheels at servicing deport.
